Pacers’ Jalen Lecque suffers Grade 2 left ankle sprain

The Indiana Pacers announced Tuesday that second-year guard Jalen Lecque suffered a Grade 2 left ankle sprain and is out indefinitely. He’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Lecque, 20, jumped straight from high school to the NBA in the summer of 2019, signing with the Phoenix Suns as an undrafted free agent. He played in five games for the Suns as a rookie, averaging 2.0 points, 0.4 assists and 0.4 rebounds. He also played in 33 games for the Northern Arizona Suns of the G League, averaging 13.4 points, 3.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds per contest.

Lecque was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in November in the deal that sent Chris Paul to Phoenix, then flipped to the Pacers in exchange for former first-round pick T.J. Leaf. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard has seen limited action in two games for Indiana this season, averaging two minutes, 1.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists.
