Packers Snap Counts: Wide receivers Shepherd and Taylor see increased time
The Green Bay Packers are now 4-0 after their dominant 30-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.
An uninformed eye might look at the lopsided score and think the Packers were at full strength against the Falcons, but that was not the case. Green Bay was without its top two wide receivers Davante Adams and Allen Lazard but had absolutely no trouble moving the ball up and down the field.

Robert Tonyan obviously had a marvelous game and Aaron Rodgers also distributed the ball to the running backs, but he found some of his less-heralded receivers as well.
Second-year receivers Darrius Shepherd and Malik Taylor contributed to the win in the absence of Adams and Lazard. Shepherd caught two passes for 21 yards and played 57% of the Packers’ 63 offensive snaps, and Taylor had one reception for 20 yards while playing 45 snaps (71%). Shepherd narrowly missed scoring his first career touchdown, coming up one yard short of the goal line on a two-yard catch in the first quarter.
Green Bay No. 3 receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling had a good game with four catches for 45 yards and was on the field for all but two of the Packers’ 63 offensive snaps.
Other notes from Monday’s snap counts:
— Packers’ offensive linemen David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, Corey Linsley, Lucas Patrick and Billy Turner all played 100% of the snaps.
— Green Bay really divided up playing time between its running backs. Jamaal Williams recorded 36 snaps, Aaron Jones checked in at 33 and Tyler Ervin was right behind with 23 snaps. A.J. Dillon played three offensive snaps.
— Same goes for the tight ends. Tonyan got the most reps of the unit (42) while Jace Sternberger (14), Josiah Deguara (seven), and John Lovett (six) shared time in backup roles.
— The only two defensive players to be on the field for all 70 of Green Bay’s defensive snaps were safety Adrian Amos cornerback Jaire Alexander.
