Panthers claim D Noah Juulsen off waivers from Canadiens
SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has claimed defenseman Noah Juulsen off waivers from the Montreal Canadiens.
Juulsen, 23, appeared in 13 regular season games with the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2019-20, registering three assists.
The 6-foot-2, 201-pound native of Surrey, British Columbia, has appeared in 44 career National Hockey League regular season games with Montreal (2017-18 to 2018-19), producing eight points (2-6-8). He has played in 47 career AHL regular season games, notching nine points (1-8-9).
Originally selected by Montreal in the first round (26th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Juulsen was a two-time Western Hockey League (WHL) All-Star and registered 124 points (30-94-124) over 240 career WHL regular season games with the Everett Silvertips (2012-13 to 2016-17).
On the international stage, Juulsen won a Silver Medal with Canada at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship, recording two assists over seven games.
