Job Title: Partnerships and Channels Manager
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Summary
- We are looking to employ a Partnerships and Channels Manager to manage relationships with institutions that the company does business with.
Job Description
- Identify and build business opportunities for the company in banks, other Financial Institutions, Payment Service Banks, Telcos, Mobile Money Operators, and Super Agents;
- Strategy formulation for expansion of the company’s customer base across different sectors
- Create a systematic, process-driven approach to relationship management;
- Identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails, and client visits;
- Research partners, identify key players and generate interest in our products and services;
- Collaborate with senior management and other marketing teammates to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships;
- Negotiate and finalize deals in accordance with the company’s contract guidelines and policies;
- Deliver a great experience to our partners when working with our organization – you will represent our brand and be our partners’ liaison internally;
- Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created and/or co-branded content promotions, lead sharing, and/or event partnerships;
- Keep a great ongoing relationship with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership.
Education and Experience
- Post-Secondary education
- Experience in product management, business development, partnerships, and sales
- 10 years of working experience with a preference for working in the banking sector
- MBA preferred but not required
Skills and Competence:
- Ability to work proactively independently and within a team
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
- Presentation Skills
- Knowledge of payment products and services
- Sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good project management skills
- Good report / business writing skills
