Job Title: PHP Back-End Developer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for an enterprise software developer to build data-processing and maintain analytic tools using PHP, a variety of databases (primarily MySQL), and rich browser-based UI technologies.
  • To succeed as a Back-End Developer, you should be focused on building a better, more efficient programs and creating a better end-user experience. You should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Writing maintainable, scalable back-end code
  • Modifying and extending existing back-end systems and technologies based on new product features and users requirements
  • Working with customer support and product departments in order to debug and fix production environment issues
  • Seeing an entire feature through, from its implementation until its release to production and maintenance
  • Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional systems to enhance the user experience.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field
  • Long term work experience with Laravel
  • Excellent understanding of PHP
  • Excellent understanding of, and familiarity with AJAX technology
  • Excellent understanding of, and familiarity with the MVC software architecture
  • Long term experience building and maintaining Restful APIs
  • Strong data analysis and SQL database management skills
  • Comfortable communicating high level tech ideas to both developers and non-developers
  • Independent, resourceful learner
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • A high sense of initiative.
