Police Arrest Two Suspected Killers Of Fulani Boy In Ondo Community

Suspected Ritualists Kill 80-Year-Old Woman In Ondo

Two persons have been arrested by the police in Isua-Akoko in Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo State in connection with the killing of an 8 year old Fulani boy, Kayode Ibrahim.

The Suspects, Alagbara Dele and Alagbara Oluwatunmise were reported to have lured the victim from his house while his parents were not at home and took him away on a motorcycle.

Channels Television gathered that the parents of Kayode who are of the Fulani tribe from Ilorin, Kwara State raised alarm and subsequently, organized a search party for him, and his remains were found floating on a river in the town.

Some Fulani people within the community were said to be planning for a reprisal attack on the host community, but the Special Adviser to the state governor on Fulani/ Hausa matters, Alhaji Bala Umar quickly invited security men to douse the tension in the agrarian community.

The Public Relations Officer, Ondo State Police Command, SP Femi Joseph confirmed the incident to Channels Television, adding that the two Suspects had been arrested by the police.

He disclosed that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Akure, the state capital for further investigation.
