AugustSecrets Nigeria is a growing baby and toddler food solutions company with the goal of helping Nigerian mothers, home and abroad, to feed their children healthier food options, rather than junk foods. We provide recipes online and runs a range of locally-made baby and toddler cereals from everyday home-grown like vegetables, fruits, and grains. Our major strength is creating easy-to-use recipes and affordable foods for busy mothers with fussy eaters and children who are malnourished due to displacement. We do all these via implementing best practices advised by our in-house nutritionists who partner with us to make our foods with the daily average nutrients a child needs from 6 months to 5 years.

Job Description
- Our client operating within the Baby Foods FMCG sub-industry is in need of a vibrant individual to fill up the role of Sales & Marketing Team Lead.
- The role requires commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the consumer base, the competitive market, and an ability to analyze sales department performance.
Responsibilities
- Drive the sales revenue and attract overall revenue for the company.
- Servicing key accounts and distributors and closing deals with new customers by putting together a list of target companies, open market distributors, sales outlets and contacts. Facilitating follow-up meetings with existing customers and cold/warm calling prospective customers and selling product offerings.
- Deliver an optimized market mix relative to the core target consumers and identify the roadmap that will lead to achievement of the department’s goals as well as the overall goals of the business.
- Implement sales strategies such as initiating partnerships with marketing agencies that further the department’s agenda and drives enhanced revenue generation for the business.
- Utilize Marketing insights and analytic tools and work with the Accounts team in undertaking detailed analyses of sales performance for the purpose of reporting sales strategy successes, weaknesses, and opportunities to management.
- Manage the departmental calendar in regard to trading priorities inclusive of launches, promotions and campaign activities for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities.
- Mentorship, training and development of all members of the sales department.
- Reporting Sales department’s results (monthly, quarterly and annually) to the Managing Director on revenue, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, potential for new products and services, and all highlighted responsibilities.
General Skills and Qualification
- Must possess at least 5 years cumulative experience in Sales (FMCG Food, Drug or Baby products) and at least, 4 years in a supervisory role
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & other basic reporting & data analysis tools.
- Ability to plan accounts, territories and targets
- Must possess coaching, motivational and leadership skills
- Ability to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills
- Must possess good communication and presentation skills
