Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Reports to: Global Head of Commercial  Operations

Job Summary

  • The Senior Business Development Manager will  be responsible for generating new sales leads, negotiating client pricing, and forecast sales revenue, all to support one of the most important business development manager responsibilities.
  • We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager  who will lead the team in searching, identifying, structuring, managing and developing strategic partnerships, alliances and commercial deals within the most relevant players in the ecosystem.
  • The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the business and the relationship development with prospects and clients. Align objectives, priorities and resources between them and ImaliPay
  • Win new business development opportunities (originating, structuring, executing) with high-growth local players across multiple sectors including startups, Fintech and payments companies that enable digital commerce, payments, e-wallets, among others
  • Positioning ImaliPay  as the preferred partner among prospects and clients, thorough deep understanding of entities strategies, priorities, needs and business processes, to present strategic ideas on how ImaliPay’s products can impact their results; in alignment with industry developments, dynamics and digital trends
  • Being actively involved in the Fintech & Digital Players ecosystem
  • Accountable for optimizing resources to achieve volume and revenue targets and P&L. Deliver financial objectives including revenue, payment volume and market penetration objectives
  • She/he is expected to decide over strategic and tactical matters for which she / he is responsible for and escalate the ones that require senior management involvement to the Global Head of Commercial Operations
  • Conduct business with ethics across all stakeholders
  • Develop Account level plans to align the B2B partnerships objectives with ImaliPay solutions and prepare associated action plans
  • Develop a clear Stakeholder engagement model with the required cadence plan.

Required Competencies, Skills & Experience

  • B.Sc / BA in Business Administration or any relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  • 7+ years professional experience.
  • Proven sales track record
  • Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information to stakeholders
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions.
  • Willingness to learn and execute effectives sales strategies for new payment products and services
  • Hands-on mentality, integrity and dependability
