Louis Valentino Nigeria Limited is a wholly Nigerian company with a world-class trading franchise. Our business involves the retailing of unique building construction finishing materials from Europe. Hence, Louis Valentino Nigeria has five retail outlets in Abuja, Kaduna and Lagos offering varieties of products such as Sanitary Wares, Porcelain and Ceramic Tiles, Security and Panel Doors, Stone Coated Roofing sheets, Wall Papers, Bedroom Sets, Dining Sets, e.t.c.

Our company is set up to bridge the gap in the supply of quality construction finishing materials to the Nigerian building sub-sector, and today we are a one-stop shop for Home-owners, Builders, Contractors and Estate Development Companies who are desirous of top quality finishing(s) for their building projects. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior General Manager, Marketing and Operations

Location: Abuja
Reporting Line: Chief Executive Officer
Industry: Home finishing, Glass Production and Building Materials

About the Role

  • To continue the growth and success of this multi layered organisation we need to welcome to out team a senior General Manager with the experience, capability and talent to lead the Sales and Marketing portfolio.
  • As an integral member of the Senior Management Team, the ideal candidate will be an accomplished and highly skilled leadership professional.
  • Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, your primary objective will be to lead the design and transformation of the Sales and Marketing function.
  • This will include identifying and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies, product and business development within the industry

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of the strategic plan to achieve business objectives, drive profit and champion customer experience
  • Identify new and existing business opportunities to increase the growth of the organisation, promoting strong client engagement, retention and attraction strategies
  • Identify and operationalise commercial market opportunities
  • Establish a structured multi-channel sales framework across the business operations with a focus on building a high-performance sales culture
  • Working in partnership with the CEO and Service Delivery team to enable organisational objectives to be achieved
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of competitor knowledge, contemporary practices and market opportunities
  • Responsible for effective financial
  • management reporting and sales forecasting
  • Participate as an active member of the Management Team
  • Establish and maintain business partnerships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and professional development to a large team of experienced sales and marketing professionals
  • Plan and assign daily workload to sales team.
  • Interview, hire and train sales representatives.
  • Evaluate performance of sales team and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Provide guidance to sales representatives in their assigned duties.
  • Respond to escalated customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Develop new sales techniques for business growth and profitability.
  • Identify potential customers and build strong relationship with existing customers.
  • Provide excellent services and ensure customer satisfaction to build business.
  • Represent company brand in sales conferences and trade shows
  • Communicate and report effectively to the Chief Executive Officer.

Skills & Experience Required

  • To obtain this role you must be able to demonstrate substantial experience in providing high level strategic and operational leadership within a large and complex organisation.

Additionally you will possess the following:

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualifications (a Post Graduate Degree is desirable)
  • Experience in identifying and developing new market opportunities
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in staff development and values-based leadership
  • Profit centre management within a large, multi-layered team
  • Strong commercial business acumen with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Must be above 40 years
  • Must be willing to resume immediately.

Remuneration
N300,000 – N400,000 Monthly.
