Job Purpose / Mission
- We are looking for a B2B Sales Representative Officer to create and nurture long-term relationships with customers (businesses) for Popcy.
- You will serve as the point of contact between the business and every chain store/department store/supermarket in Abuja and have a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers/businesses while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services the organization.
- One of your main focus will be to signup every department store, supermarket, chain store within your region to push sales volumes up.
Responsibilities
- Finding out the contact details of key decision-makers (known as prospects) who work for the businesses you want to sell to
- Contacting prospects using a variety of methods, including calls, emails or sales letters
- Arranging and attending meetings
- Reconnecting with past prospects to reintroduce them to the business’ product(s) or service(s)
- Liaising with internal departments, like marketing or production, to gather information to support your sales pitches
- Updating the business’ CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software with buyers’ details and information of where they are in the sales process
- Nurturing leads, closing sales contracts, and upselling to current customers
- Ensure optimum utilization of resources in your area of responsibility particularly sales/promotional budget.
- Assist your line manager with promotional ideas to increase business within the region.
- Achieve sales revenue numbers, budget and profit goals for your assigned Region.
- Assist in managing monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgets and objectives within your Region.
- Understand and utilize general market data to identify sales opportunities and develop sales presentations for your assigned Region.
- Provide feedback to management from key retail and distributor customers.
- Regular communications of sales calls and results to your line manager.
- Provide monthly sales reports, monthly expense reports and any assigned reports to your line manager in a timely manner.
- Regular contact with businesses to ensure seamless continuity of efforts.
- Execute the sales volume numbers, trade spending objectives and any other goals given by your line manager.
- Specific interaction with marketing, i.e. Sales Support materials, branded items etc.
- Identify and track all industry trends and issues, i.e. natural and retail growth, supermarket changes, opportunities, segment variations, etc.
- Recommend an expedient/appropriate action plan to line manager.
- Track and report all competitive activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND.
- 4 years of sales experience in multinational FMCG companies.
- Experience in taking new food products to the market.
- Technical expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and strong analytical skills a must.
- Excellent time-management skills, the ability to work autonomously, and be a solution-based thinker.
- Ability to portray a confident and winning attitude in challenging business environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build successful relationships within a team and cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the demonstrated ability to work with various types of customers and manage difficult situations.
- Familiarity of sales processes, procedures, and policies
- Ability to work with and manage many accounts on a consistent basis and sell the appropriate adidas products to the designated accounts.
- Merchandising skills and the ability to connect the seasonal brand priorities to a retail assortment plan.
- Ability to create, plan and deliver effective and persuasive presentations.
- Strong retail math skills and ability to apply financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes.
- Ability to provide fact-based business proposals to create a mutually beneficial outcome for adidas and the retailer.
- Must be results-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proven planning and organizational skills, resulting in the ability to meet critical deadlines.
Salary
N90,000 – N120,000 monthly
