Job Description

We aim to hire a Public Relations (PR) specialist and Social Media Expert to help promote and elevate awareness of our company and brand.
To be productive in this role, you should be able to execute marketing or advertising strategies and ensure the awareness of the company in the public eye remains positive.

Responsibilities

Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video and code) on a daily basis that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the brand
Build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contacts
Pitch story ideas and content to media
Track and analyze media coverage to inform future campaigns
Measure PR program impacts using regular reporting
Organize, schedule, and prepare key leaders for press interviews.
Monitor SEO and customer engagement and suggest content optimization
Moderate user-generated content in line with the moderation policy
Collaborate with sales, web design, web development, digital marketing, customer relations and product development teams
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns
Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
Boost your network by interacting with industry professionals and influencers via social media
Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
Ensure all communication is cohesive with the brand image

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, PR, Marketing or any related field
2 – 4 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have a thorough understanding of social media management and strategy
Knowledge of consumer marketing
Experience using various analytics software
Ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
Excellent organization skills
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong working knowledge of a variety of public relations programs
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns.
