StaTuesday: Rare 30-15-5 lines becoming habit for Bucks’ Antetokounmpo
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on quite the stretch lately.
More Bucks coverage
The reigning NBA player of the week enters Tuesday with four straight games of 30+ points — only Washington’s Bradley Beal, with six, has a longer streak this season. In three of those contests the Greek Freak had a double-double, giving him 12 in his last 14 games. Antetokounmpo has 24 double-doubles on the season. Only Denver’s Nikola Jokic, with 30, has more.
On Sunday, Antetokounmpo poured in 36 points to go with 14 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in Milwaukee’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers. It was his third 30-15-5-4 game of his career. According to basketball-reference.com, he’s just one of eight players to have three such games over a career, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (15), Hakeem Olajuwon (8), Shaquille O’Neal (6), Tim Duncan (5), David Robinson (5), Anthony Davis (4) and Kevin Durant (3).
It also marked his third 30-15-5 game of the season and the 20th of his career.
Since the 2017-18 season, when he recorded his first 30-15-5 game, only James Harden has more such statistical lines over that span.

(Note: Includes seasons when the player had a 30-10-5 game.)
When it comes to Bucks history, though, Giannis stands alone — at least since the NBA-ABA merger. In fact, he has more than double — and nearly triple — the number of 30-10-5 games than every other player combined since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Abdul-Jabbar had 52 games with at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists from 1970-75. Bob Dandridge had one on Feb. 14, 1973 and added another in the first season after the leagues combined, on Dec. 17, 1976.
Marques Johnson had a pair during the 1982-83 season, Terry Cummings also had two (exactly one year apart — Jan. 16, 1986 and Jan. 16, 1987).
That’s your list of every Bucks player with multiple 30-10-5 games in team history. Sam Cassell, Khris Middleton and Alvin Robertson each had one.
To quickly recap: From the 1976-77 season to 2016-17, there were seven 30-15-5 games. Giannis has 20 since 2017-18 — 10 over the last two years (and counting).
