Stay or go: 2021 Packers offense poll results
We recently offered our take as to who on the offensive side of the ball for the Green Bay Packers should stay in 2021 and who should go.
Among the reasoning we gave in our choices was production, age and salary. That last part could be a big factor in Green Bay’s offseason decisions. With an estimated $180.5 million cap in 2021, the Packers will need to trim just over $28 million from their payroll before the start of the league year March 17. That will have to be done with releasing or trading players, or possibly even restructuring contracts.

But what do you, the fans think? We don’t know your reasons — although with the offense, at least, salary-cap savings didn’t seem a big concern — but we do have the results, thanks to a poll we had for each player in the above-mentioned article.
Below we present a quick offensive position-by-position breakdown as well as a chart of the results.
OFFENSIVE LINE
The only surprise here might be that nearly 2/3 of our poll voters think Rick Wagner should be a one-and-done with the Packers. His release would save $4.25 million of that cap money.
We’re not sure what practice squad player Zack Johnson did to make him feel so unwanted.
Just over 2/3 of our voters also want to see unrestricted free agent Corey Linsley return. He’s one of many free-agent decisions the Packers will have to make — if they’ll even have enough cap room to even sign a productive veteran, that is.

QUARTERBACKS
Do you need three quarterbacks?
Not everyone thinks Aaron Rodgers should return (albeit they are in a vast minority in our poll) while just under 1/4 already want Jordan Love out the door. Still, most see that pair a 1-2 in 2021.

RUNNING BACKS
Will there be a reshaping of the running-back room? Fans seem to want all three main RBs to return, although it’s close with Aaron Jones, who barely got more than half of the votes to stay.
Both Jones and Jamaal Williams are unrestricted free agents, so it’s going to be tough for Green Bay to acquiesce to our fans’ wishes here.
The rest of the backs? Our poll takers say clean house.

Cutting Mason Crosby would save $2.5 million in he cap, but, hey this is Mason Crosby we’re talking about. The high majority of fans want him back and without competition.

TIGHT ENDS
No one wants to see Robert Tonyan leave (he’s a restricted free agent) but most are ready for Marcedes Lewis to (finally) go.
No real surprises here, although we’re disappointed most people weren’t interested in seeing a 6-foot-6, 270-pound tight end. Sorry, Bronson Kaufusi.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Honestly, we’re kind of thankful no one voted for Davante Adams to leave.
But remember the laughs people had joking how Green Bay added no receivers in last year’s draft and Rodgers still had an MVP season? Well, our voters are ready for some additions with only Adams, Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling receiving the majority of votes to stay among the 11 wideouts on the roster.
