Job Title: Team Lead, Performance Management

About the Job

  • The Team Lead, Performance Management is responsible for the performance management of Nigerian Exchange and related companies.
  • The candidate will be responsible for driving a best-in-class enterprise business performance management system as well as an efficient financial planning to support the attainment of strategic objectives of the Company and the Group.
  • This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer, NGX Limited.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a business performance management framework to track group and subsidiary performance against set targets including annual budget.
  • Oversee the annual budget planning process for the company and institute an effective budgetary control mechanism and monitor compliance.
  • Monitor and analyse business performance and generate reports with an explanation of key drivers for the CFO’s attention.
  • Conduct competitive benchmark analysis on subsidiary performance with relevant industry peers and maintain an industry league table across the key performance indices.
  • Plan and facilitate the company’s budget performance review sessions.
  • Measure key performance indicators for divisions, departments, and individuals.
  • Recommend improvement initiatives for departmental processes and procedures.
  • Provide data to drive Monthly Performance Review sessions.
  • Act as a finance partner to the departments within the Group.

Research / Policy Development and Standard Operating Procedures :

  • Develop, review and maintain Finance policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Responsible for conducting regular research and liaising with professionals across various industries to ensure financial performance measurement in the organization is aligned with best practices.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Attend to staff on ERP related matters.
  • Assist staff/ other departments on set targets and KPIs.
  • Perform other finance related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Specification
To successfully deliver the above goals, the right candidate must have:

  • HND / B.Sc with emphasis on Economics, Finance & Accounting or any other numerate courses (Sciences and Engineering).
  • Minimum of 8 years Post-NYSC work experience in financial planning and business performance management with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • At least one relevant professional qualification e.g. ACCA, ACA will be an advantage.

  • Ability to generate trust and respect from staff and external stakeholders.
