Texans re-sign 3 free agents

HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans have signed free agents Angelo Blackson, DeAndre Carter and Joel Heath.

Houston also extended qualifying offers to nose tackle Brandon Dunn, kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn and outside linebacker Brennan Scarlett on Monday.

Blackson, a defensive end, has spent the last two seasons in Houston after playing for the Titans his first two seasons. He appeared in each game last year with four starts and finished with 24 tackles and a sack.

Carter spent the last half of 2018 with the Texans after playing seven games for the Eagles. The receiver had 20 receptions for 195 yards in seven games in Houston.

Heath has spent his entire three-year career with the Texans and the defensive end appeared in five games last season, with just two tackles. His best season came in 2017 when he had 24 tackles and a sack in 13 games.
