Twins beat Red Sox 7-6 in Spring Training opener
The Minnesota Twins defeated the Boston Red Sox in their Spring Training opener on Sunday.
Boston scored one run in the second inning, but Minnesota exploded for five runs in the bottom half of the frame.

Max Kepler hit a two-run single, Jorge Polanco drew a bases-loaded walk and Miguel Sano made it 5-1 with a two-run double.
The Red Sox added two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to make it 6-5, but Minnesota countered in the bottom half of the sixth inning.
Gilberto Celestino scored on a throwing error and Kyle Garlick hit a sacrifice fly that put the Twins up 7-6.
Minnesota will be back in action on Monday at 12:05 p.m. with a road matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays.
