Twins prospect Kirilloff notches three hits in 9-8 loss
Alex Kirilloff and Mitch Garver tallied three hits apiece, but the Minnesota Twins fell 9-8 to the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon.
Kirilloff, named the Twins’ Minor League Player of the Year last season, raised his spring-training batting average to .364.
The Twins led 4-1 early on, but Toronto rallied for five runs off Fernando Romero in the third inning. Romero faced five hitters and didn’t record a single out.
