The Twins rotated seven pitchers across nine innings. Right-hander Alex Colomé, notably, struck out three batters in the fourth.

Overall, Minnesota relied heavily on its strong defensive performance. Reserve infielder Tzu-Wei Lin made a pair of difficult outs look less than challenging.

Quiet bats across the board, however, prevented the club from securing a win.

The Twins finished 0-for-5 at the plate with runners in scoring position.

Minnesota will look to brush off Saturday’s loss and prepare for Sunday’s showdown against Boston, a game which is set to be played at 12:05 p.m.
