Vikings hire Klint Kubiak as new offensive coordinator

The Minnesota Vikings have officially named Klint Kubiak their new offensive coordinator.

More Vikings coverage

Kubiak, 33, has been with the Vikings for two seasons as the team’s quarterbacks coach. He will call plays for Minnesota in 2021 and takes over the position from his father Gary, who was the offensive coordinator in 2020 and had coached 25 years in the NFL before retiring last month.

Kubiak will continue to run the same offensive scheme the Vikings used last year, something head coach Mike Zimmer said he wanted after the season.

Former Minnesota wide receivers coach Andrew Janocko will take over as the quarterbacks coach and former NFL Pro Bowler Keenan McCardell will be the team’s new WR coach.
