Sturm, 25, recorded two assists in six regular-season games with the Wild after making his debut on Dec. 17, 2019, at the Vegas Golden Knights. He first appeared in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in Game 3 of the Qualifying Round series against the Vancouver Canucks and notched his first-ever NHL goal in Game 4 of that series.

Sturm had plenty of success in 2019-20 when he was with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. The 6-foot-3, 206-pound forward played 52 games for Iowa and finished with 32 points, 18 penalty minutes, a plus-9 rating and was second on the team with four game-winning goals.

He is a native of Augsburg, Germany, and played collegiate hockey at Clarkson University.
