Wild re-sign Soucy to three-year contract
Carson Soucy will be back with the Minnesota Wild after the team announced it has re-signed the defenseman to a three-year deal worth $8.25 million.

Soucy, 26, appeared in all four of Minnesota’s Stanley Cup Playoff games and finished his first regular season with the team with 14 points (seven goals), a plus-16 rating, 18 penalty minutes, 69 hits and 61 shots on goal.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound defenseman set a team record for plus/minus rating by a rookie. His goal and point totals put him at fourth in franchise history by a rookie defenseman.
Originally from Viking, Alberta, Soucy played collegiately at the University of Minnesota-Duluth before being selected by Minnesota in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
