The Minnesota Wild re-signed one of their top young players Saturday, inking left wing Jordan Greenway to a two-year, $4.2 million contract.

Greenway, who turns 24 in February, was a restricted free agent.
A second-round draft pick (No. 50 overall) out of Boston University in 2015, Greenway debuted with the Wild in March 2018, playing in six regular-season games and five in the postseason.
Playing in 81 games in 2018-19, Greenway had 12 goals, 12 assists and 29 penalty minutes. This past season, he had eight goals, 20 assists, 54 penalty minutes and was a plus-2 in 67 games.
He also set career highs in hits (95), blocked shots (44) and TOI/game (14:10) in 2019-20 while leading the Wild in takeaways (41).
It’s the latest in a busy offseason for general manager Bill Guerin, who Friday signed free-agent goalie Cam Talbot, this coming after making a number of trades in recent weeks.
