Winless ‘Skins to start Colt McCoy against unbeaten Patriots

Colt McCoy is getting his first start since December and rookie Dwayne Haskins Jr. will be the Redskins‘ backup quarterback when winless Washington hosts unbeaten New England on Sunday.

Case Keenum is inactive with a sprained foot for Washingon. The Patriots will be without second-leading rusher Rex Burkhead, on the inactive list with a foot injury. Safety Patrick Chung is also out with a heel injury.

New Orleans WR Tre’Quan Smith returns to the Saints‘ lineup after missing two games with an ankle injury for their matchup with the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay right tackle Damar Dotson is active after being listed as questionable with a calf injury.

The Titans deactivated outside linebacker Cameron Wake, the 37-year-old who had been questionable with an injured right hamstring hurt in last week’s 24-10 win in Atlanta. Bills RB Devin Singletary is missing his third straight game with a left hamstring problem.

The Baltimore Ravens are shaking up their defense after getting blown out by Cleveland last week.

Baltimore made cornerback Anthony Averett and linebacker Kenny Young inactive for Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh. Both players have struggled in recent weeks.

The Steelers will have tight end Vance McDonald back. McDonald sat out a victory over Cincinnati with a right shoulder injury. Linebacker Vince Williams is also back after missing two games with a hamstring issue. Pittsburgh made struggling wide receiver Donte Moncrief inactive for the second time in three games.

Panthers safety Eric Reid (ankle) and defensive end Brian Burns (wrist) are active for Carolina’s matchup with Jacksonville after being listed as questionable. Unhappy Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, still seeking a trade, is inactive, but CB D.J. Hayden is active after being added to the injury report late in the week.

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks is active for the team’s game in London against the Oakland Raiders. Hicks had been listed as questionable with a knee injury.

The Raiders were without several key starters listed as questionable this week. Starting receivers Tyrell Williams (foot) and J.J. Nelson (knee) are out for the game, along with rookie defensive end Clelin Ferrell (concussion).

The New York Giants‘ banged-up linebacking corps took another hit as it prepared to host Minnesota. Starting outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter is inactive for Sunday’s game with a neck injury. Rookie starter Ryan Connelly was lost for the season last week with a knee injury and fellow inside linebackers Alex Ogletree (hamstring) and Tae Davis (concussion) are out for the second straight week. Rookie Oshane Ximines is starting for Carter. David Mayo starts for Ogletree for the second week. Nate Stupar starts for Connelly. Wayne Gallman starts for str RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) for the second straight week.

Texans receiver Kenny Stills is out for Houston’s matchup with Atlanta after sustaining a hamstring injury last week.
