Yasmani Grandal signing paying dividends for Brewers
Against left-handers this season, Claudio has been strong, holding the opposition to a meager .174/.269/.283 slash line. Against right-handers … not so much. They’re now hitting .342/.405/.684 against him, but the Twins flipped the script on Tuesday. Claudio failed to retire left-handed hitting Max Kepler, who stroked a two-run double in the seventh to break a scoreless tie in a game eventually won by the Twins. In his previous appearance, Claudio allowed back-to-back homers to right-handers Rhys Hopkins and J.T. Reamulto of the Phillies. After a strong start to the season, Claudio has a 12.00 ERA and 2.000 WHIP in May.
