Nigerian child star, Oluyomi Victoria Olaniyi-Toluwalope (née Adeyemi-Wilson) is dead.
She passed away on September 12, 2019 after a battle with health challenges.
Late Yomi who became popular in the 1980s and 1990s with the popular TV series ‘Third Eye’ which aired on NTA died at the age of 39.
Born on May 31, 1980, She played the role of ‘Uze’, the daughter who provided Inspector Best Idafa (Olu Jacobs) with clues for solving criminal cases in the TV series.
Her father in real life was Engineer Yomi Adeyemi-Wilson, a track star in the 1960s and 1970s. He became an executive with Mobil Nigeria and he was the brains behind the Mobil Athletics Championships.
He was also the first chairman of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) and he was the president of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria in the 1990s.
Oluyomi was born in 1980 and attended Home Science Association Nursery and Primary School, Ikoyi, Queens College Lagos and the University of Lagos where she studied law.
