Yves Pons lead the charge scoring 17 points and five rebounds as four Volunteers scored in double figures. The Jayhawks looked like they were poised to make a run opening the second half with back-to-back baskets from Ochai Agbaji, but Tennessee thwarted that attempt and blew the game open with a 9-0 run that eventually ballooned to a 26-point advantage.
